Founded: 1937; Incorporated 28 August 1937 as Toyota Motor Co., Ltd. (Japanese: トヨタ自動車工業株式会社); the company celebrates its founding on 3 November, the 1938 opening of the Koromo Plant. Automobile Division of Toyoda Automatic Loom Works established 1 September 1933.
